Angola – Salvage Operation
In Angola, the Corporate Travel Clinic set up an entire medical clinic on board of a multi-purpose barge. We provided furniture, medication and equipment and staff for the clinic. The salvage of the jack-up rig, located between the coasts of Angola and the Republic of Congo, presented a particular challenge because it was so remote. The lack of local healthcare and the distance of sea-to-land transport made it impossible to rely on local facilities, as determined during our medical audit. The salvage operation took around 10 months to complete.
